
Ingredients
- 2 medium heads green cabbage, give or take, cores removed, chopped into bite sized pieces
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cans of Libby’s or Hereford corned beef, 12 ounce cans, cut up into large chunks
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil, or oil of your choice
- Johnny’s Seasoning, to taste
- Onion powder, to taste
Directions
We usually cook this in a large 8 quart pot.
- Heat oil on medium and sauté onions until softened and browned
- Turn heat to low, and add about 1/3 of the cabbage. Sprinkle with Johnny’s. Repeat with the remaining cabbage, layering with Johnny’s
- Cover and simmer until fully softened, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes. This will take 30 to 45 minutes
- Add corned beef and onion powder, stir and cover for another 10 minutes
- Remove from heat, stir and add any additional Johnny’s Seasoning to taste
